Java Ferns are a very popular beginner's choice in the hobby due to their beauty and ease of care due to the lack of substrate requirements. They can tolerate low lighting and a large range of water parameters considerably well, making them suitable even for low-tech set-ups.
Java Ferns can be attached directly onto driftwood, rocks or other aquarium decorations using line or glue. Propagation of java fern is easy and straightforward; simply cut or carefully pull apart rhizomes to be replanted.
