The Vanderbilt Chromis (Chromis vanderbilti) is a peaceful and active schooling reef fish known for its sleek silver-blue body and subtle iridescent sheen. In groups, they create constant motion in the water column, making them an excellent choice for adding life and energy to marine aquariums.
This species thrives in established reef systems with open swimming space and stable water conditions. When kept in groups, Vanderbilt Chromis display natural schooling behaviour and are highly engaging to observe as they move together through the rockwork and open water.
Feed 1–2 times daily with a varied diet including frozen mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, plankton-based foods, and high-quality marine flakes or pellets.
