The Banggai Cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni) is a striking marine species known for its bold black vertical bands, silver-white body, and elongated fin rays. At approximately 4cm, this juvenile makes an excellent addition to reef and marine community aquariums.
Naturally calm and slow-moving, Banggai Cardinalfish are best kept in small groups or pairs where they display fascinating social behaviour, often hovering among coral structures or live rock. Their peaceful nature and unique appearance make them a favourite among reef aquarists.
