Süsswassertang (German spelling: Subwassertang; see B) is a type of aquarium plant formerly known as "round Pellia" or "round-leaf Pellia". It was long considered to be a liverwort, which it strongly resembles.

The name means "freshwater seaweed" in German.

Reproduction is by fragmentation. Pieces that break off develop into new plants.

Subwassertang is a Moss that thrives in the low light conditions that are typical in a shrimp tank.  In my experience Subwassertang will attach to wood or rock and will sinks and form a nice bush as it grows.
